NYLC CERTIFICATION:

By entering this course I certify that I am, or will be, within one year of commencing the New York Law Course, a bona fide applicant for the Uniform Bar Examination and that I currently satisfy, or will satisfy, the eligibility requirements to sit for the Uniform Bar Examination under Section 520.3, 520.4, 520.5, 520.6 or 520.17 of the Rules of the Court of Appeals. I further certify that I am not commencing this course more than one year before the date when I will first sit for the Uniform Bar Examination, whether in New York or in another UBE jurisdiction. I also certify that I understand that the Board recommends that I give myself several weeks to watch the NYLC at a relaxing pace to fully absorb all of the material, but if I opt to start the NYLC within 72 hours of any given deadline and then experience problems related to any technical issue, including high volume concurrency, the deadline will NOT be extended.

I understand that I am required to watch each segment of each lecture in its entirety and at its normal speed. I understand that attempting to watch more than one video at the same time is strictly prohibited. I understand that advancing or speeding up any segment of any video by any means is strictly prohibited and that my time spent viewing each video segment will be audited by the Board. I understand that once I answer an embedded question correctly, I cannot re-watch that segment. I understand that the NYLC was not designed to be viewed on a cell phone. I understand that if I experience a technical problem while watching a video that it is my responsibility to contact the Board immediately to make a report of the issue and seek assistance. I also understand that the failure to watch each lecture in its entirety and at its normal speed, or viewing more than one video segment at a time, may result in the institution of misconduct charges under Board Rule 6000.13. Penalties may include requiring me to repeat the NYLC in its entirety, nullification of my registration for the NYLE, nullification of my NYLE score, a period of suspension from repeating the NYLC and/or NYLE, and disclosure of my misconduct to the Appellate Division in New York having jurisdiction over my application for admission and to other jurisdictions.
